Volunteer Opportunities

Chippokes offers volunteer opportunities suited to individuals or groups on a continual basis or for special events. Training is provided and records are kept to track your volunteer hours to Virginia State Parks. As you accumulate hours, you are awarded DCR logo apparel, state park passes, and camping and cabin privileges.

Here are a few ways to serve as a volunteer at Chippokes:

• Mansion interpreters
• Gift shop clerks
• Maintenance assistance (mowing, painting, and small construction projects)
• Gardening projects
• Firewood workdays
• Cleanup projects (beach and trail)
• Special events
